Website Terms
Last reviewed: 10 September 2026. These terms govern your use of this public Otterian website. Please read them before using the site.
About these terms
This website is operated under the Otterian name. Verified statutory company details, when available, are published in the Company information section of our Contact page.
These Website Terms apply to browsing and using this public website. They do not replace separate terms presented for a paid product, service, membership, app, venture or transaction. If separate terms apply, they will be presented at the relevant point and will govern that service to the extent of any conflict.
Using the website
You may use the website for lawful purposes. You must not misuse it or interfere with its normal operation, security or availability.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access to systems, networks, source code, administrative areas or data.
- Do not introduce malware, harmful code, automated traffic or other activity intended to disrupt, overload, scrape or damage the service in a way that is unlawful or unreasonable.
- Do not use the website to infringe intellectual property, privacy or other legal rights, or to commit, facilitate or encourage unlawful activity.
- Do not misrepresent your identity, authority or relationship with Otterian.
Products, services, memberships and apps
The Otterian network may include ventures that sell goods, services, subscriptions or memberships through different channels. A particular venture may use an app-store billing system, an approved web payment provider or a fulfilment supplier. Those arrangements are not created by these Website Terms.
Before you become bound by a paid consumer transaction, the relevant venture must provide the information required for that transaction, including applicable prices, taxes, payment and delivery arrangements, contract duration, cancellation information and any service-specific terms. Mandatory consumer rights, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where it applies, are not excluded by these Website Terms.
Content and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the website and its original content, branding, software, design and other materials are owned by or licensed to Otterian and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view and use the site for its intended purpose, but you do not acquire ownership rights by doing so.
You must obtain permission before reproducing, modifying, commercially exploiting or redistributing protected Otterian material except where the law expressly permits it. Third-party trade marks and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
Information on this website
We aim to keep public information accurate and useful, but general website content may change and is not professional, financial, legal, medical or other regulated advice. Check information that is important to a decision and rely on the specific contractual information provided for any product or service you purchase.
Third-party services and links
The website may link to or interoperate with third-party services. A link does not mean that Otterian controls or endorses everything on that service. Third parties may have their own terms and privacy information, and you should review them when you choose to use the third-party service.
Availability and changes
We may maintain, improve, suspend or change website features where reasonably necessary. We do not promise that the public website will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times. We will not use this clause to remove rights or commitments that arise under a separate consumer contract.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or rights and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
To the extent permitted by law and where no separate contract says otherwise, Otterian is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you used the public website, or for disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control. Different terms may apply to business users or paid services.
Privacy
Our Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled, and our Cookie & Storage Technologies Policy explains the rules we apply to cookies, local storage and similar technologies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the website, law, security or our operating model. The current version is the version published on this page. A material change to a separate paid contract will be handled under the terms and law that govern that contract.
Law and jurisdiction
These Website Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live where the law allows. Mandatory consumer protections in another country are not removed merely because these terms choose English law.
